In the last ten years, I’ve lived in rural Pennsylvania, suburban Ohio, urban Northern Ireland, a renovated camper-van traveling across the contiguous United States, and now downtown Denver, Colorado. Through each of these new adventures, I’ve given myself the gifts of curiosity and play as I adjusted my habits to suit each new environment. I found ways to move my body and eat nourishing meals while living full-time out of my car, working 60-hour work weeks, and attending graduate school full-time. I learned to combat cravings while working from home. I also uncovered the importance of syncing with the strengths of my biological cycles, plus taking time to discern which of my daily habits and routines are truly in alignment with my values.
I bring this same knowledge and experience to my role coaching clients toward their own sustainable lifestyles. I challenge individuals to see that there need be no joys off-limits - from adult beverages to sweets, indulgent purchases to Sundays spent lounging in bed! I’ve also compiled a long list of tools, resources, and techniques for managing fatigue, low mood, environmental obstacles, and more. Using these skills and this knowledge, I also understand there is no “one-size-fits-all” plan for building a healthy lifestyle. Instead, in each relationship I build with a client, we design a lifestyle that’s unique to their goals and supports their individualized vision for a healthier, happier, more fulfilling future.
So how does this impact your business’s bottom line?
Many of your clients will have signed up for your services with a goal already in mind: sustain a meal plan and eat better, utilize a gym membership and get fit, or attend regular community events and make new friends. Or maybe your employees regularly access their corporate wellness perks for a few weeks every January. While their “what” is clear, so often the “why” and “how” underlying these changes get in the way of establishing a sustainable routine. Working one-on-one with a Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach, your clients or employees will discover why their goal aligns with their values and strengths as well as how to reach that goal with ease and enjoyment. You, on the other hand, will have the opportunity to sit back and reap the benefits of a workforce or client caseload that’s learning to live well, for good.
